Hole 8

The 8th is a picturesque downhill dog-leg left par 4. A fairway bunker sits on the right hand side at driving distance and, once again, out-of-bounds is situated 15m to the right of the bunker. The ideal tee-shot would be played with a draw shape, as it would end up gaining extra distance with the slope of the fairway.

The 2nd shot is off a downhill slope to a green which slopes slightly from back to front. The wind on this shot is often a factor, as most balls will generally fall short or on the front edge.

When the pin is located at the very back, it is one of the hardest shots to hit close and very intimidating at the same time, as the green falls away severely on either side and especially at the back. This results in a definite bogey, if not worse. A beautiful par 4 and a great challenge into the sea breeze.
