On Saturday 16 July the competition for the inaugural Neil Watson Tray event will be held.
This new perpetual trophy is held in honour of Neil Watson – one of the club’s longest serving members.
Joining the Club in 1953, at the time of his death in August last year, Neil was one of the club’s longest serving members. He represented the club in pennants over many years and has featured on many Honour Board events throughout his long career.
Neil was a much admired and respected member, remembered for his textbook smooth swing, mild unflappable temperament and quietly spoken encouragement and assistance to fellow golfers that marked Neil as the epitome of the spirit and values of the Nedlands Golf Club.
The perpetual trophy in memory of Neil acknowledges Neil’s long loyal service to the club and the fine qualities that he represented as a member of Nedlands Golf Club.
The tee sheet for this event opens on Friday 8 July at 11:00 AM. The event is open to male and female members with Saturday playing rights.
