Members may be interested to know that one of our members, Wayne Ovens, has won the 2015 RFDS Outback Air Race.
This event involved 27 aircraft over 2 weeks flying from Esperance (WA) to Hamilton Island (Qld) to raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
The form of the race is a GPS-based navigation time trial throughout the remote Australian outback.
