After a 12-year absence, Nedlands Golf Club fielded a team in the 2025 Golf WA Boy’s Junior Pennant competition. Our first game was against Gosnells Golf Club and was played at the West Australian Golf Club on Sunday February 2nd.
All boys got off to a good start and acquitted themselves in true Nedlands’s style with a 3 ½ to 1 ½ win.
Luke Bai and Harry Alcock both had a 5/3 win. Noah Keren finished one up and Ben Gregory finished his match square. Ollie Wright was most unfortunate to lose his match on the 18th when his opponent chipped in from the green side bunker to give Gosnells their only win of the day.
The players were wonderfully supported by their parents and also by the reserves for this game, Theo Grobler and Arjun Rodrigues. A great team effort, thanks also to Gavin Furness and Don O’Brien.
