Sunday October 6th, we hosted our Junior Championship Tournament for the first time in the last 10 years and what a turn out it was with everyone turning up for the day. It was also the debut of the Martin Morris Best Nett award for this tournament, an honour given for all of Marty’s dedication and hard work with the junior program over the last 30 years. We thank him for his time and his continuation to assist with the junior program.
We had a mixture of categories with both a mixed 9 hole modified stroke and 18 hole nett event with some of our best juniors going head to head and even down to the wire on the last few holes.
There were plenty of good shots and plenty of not so good, but what was important was that it was clear to everyone that the juniors were happy to be out there playing!
