COMMITTEE and VOLUNTEERING
Dennis was dedicated to the club and volunteered and served on the General Committee for many years during the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s as Chairman of Course. He was instrumental in getting the course fully reticulated and in 1974 this was achieved at a cost of $26,130. Southern Cross Irrigation were the appointed contractors and at the time the City of Nedlands provided the club with a $35,000 loan to assist with the project and to update the Ladies Locker Room.
Dennis was afforded Life Membership in 1981 for service to the club but continued to serve on the committee and he assisted the committee of the day when the reticulation system was upgraded in the early 2000’s.
Dennis was a champion golfer, a dedicated volunteer and passionate Nedlands Golf Club member who will be long remembered for his services to the club.
