As a result of the efforts of Club member, Ian MacDonald, we now have some very smart bunker rake holders deployed across the course.

The aim of these holders is to set the position of bunker rakes so that they are always resting in the same place and to have the rake head suspended off the pan surface thus alleviating problems of balls rolling onto the head.

As illustrated below the rake head should be placed in the V of the holder with the handle roughly in line with play and close to the bunker edge. Having the rake handle resting close to the edge means that the bunker can be machined raked without having to remove all the rakes.

Our thanks again to Ian for his generous donation to the Club.
