News: The ladies picked wisely, and won the day

On a beautiful Nedlands morning our pennant fundraiser was played under clear blue skies. Bidding on pennant players by the members was fast and furious, with the top player Vernon -Sexton Fink, being snapped up for a mere $152.50 by the group of Gary Hing, Craig Marshall and Fred Wehr who were banking on being in the winner’s circle.

But it was the ladies group of Patricia Noske, Krystyna Knottnerus and Mara Pritchard whose meagre $100.00 bid for Andy Gott, won them the day.

Coming in a close second was the group of Wayne Trumble, Greg Patton and Bob King partnered by Jeremy Crabb.

Third was the fast finishing group of Kath Fordham, Gerhard Saueracker and Anne-Marie McNaughton ably supported by Dave Hogg.

Also thanks  to Greg Paddon and Bevan Lawrence for their continuous support of our club and a special thank you to Flora Furness and Janine Skipworth for the tireless work in making the after match sausage sizzle and presentations a great success . Finally to all those who participated and our ground staff for presenting the course in such perfect condition.  

The event raised $2,253.  A BIG thank you to all who participated.
