Two steady rounds (+2 +2 +4) from morning player Dave Hogg was enough to secure the 2016 Johnson Plumbing Summer Cup played in unseasonal wintry conditions. Hogg was the only player to better his handicap both days and was a clear winner from overnight leader, low marker John Strachan (+3 0 +3). Both defied a couple of lightning interruptions Saturday morning however the afternoon players had to counter blustery winds. Ken Douglas produced the round of the weekend on Sunday morning, +8, which followed his opening round -9. Bryan Gardiner produced an eagle on Saturday on the 6th.
