At the recent Australian Veterans National Championships held on the Gold Coast, vice captain Joe Alexander took out the B Grade gross title which included a round at Royal Pines, venue for the Australian PGA featuring Sergio Garcia later this year. The Championships are attended by over 500 players and this year the Club was represented by Joe, Cliff Matson and Ron Parkin.
Joe also won the Pierro Cup, sponsored by Bevan Lawrence, last month.
Shane Maloney took out the Bruce K Palmer Memorial Day last week with a fine score of 40 points. A number of Bruce’s friends were invited to play, his trophy was presented by Bruce’s wife Robyn and member brother Mark.
