Australian Test cricketer Rodney Hogg closed out the season in memorable style at the Men’s Presentation Dinner following the pink peril Closing Day event held earlier. Hogg joined in the golf event before entertaining the crowd over dinner with stories about cricket figures in the 70s, and himself.
The day was sponsored by member Phil Golding and included a number of highlights;
- The team event was taken out by Richard Lee, Tim Tan, Ross McLennan & Andrew Everett with 84 points (total of pink peril ball & one other) Teams Event
- A hole in one was scored by Ken Douglas on the 107m 16th, congratulations Ken!
- The individual event was taken out by David Falconer with 41 points on countback from Jack Morris Individual Event
- Club Champion David Baster was presented to the members after his fine win over Kenneth Fairweather in the 36 hole final. David and Dudley winner Lou De Verteuil were presented with embroidered sponsor shirts courtesy APC Group and member Ian MacDonald
- Other grade winners John Strachan, Colin Yoong, Dale Harris & Peter Baker. Eclectic winners were Gavin Furness, Joe Alexander & Angus Johnson
