Nedlands ladies win State final!
The Nedlands ladies Holden Scramble team, together with resident Professional Andy Gott, have won through to the national final after taking out the state final held at Lakelands Country Club. A fine seven under par 65 with five birdies and an eagle on the 18th was more than enough to ensure the team of Cath Bellemore, Jill Morgan, Robyn Todd and Susie Rich will make their way to Twin Waters Golf Club next month all expenses paid!

LADIES HOLDEN SCRAMBLE – Friday 25 September
A fabulous day was had by all with the weather the best it could possibly be, the course in pristine condition (as usual), 44 ladies playing golf and enjoying themselves followed by a delicious lunch by Cupid Catering accompanied by a glass of champagne. The winners were Cath Bellemore, Jill Morgan, Susie Rich and Robyn Todd. Apparently Andy almost scored a Hole-in-One on the 7th during his session of “Beat the Pro”. The putting competition and the clinic by Andy were well received by the ladies from all the clubs participating. Well done to Andy and all his organisation of the day.
What a great start to the weekend. Everyone is looking forward to the next Holden Scramble at Nedlands.
Scramble winners
The return of the Holden Scramble to Nedlands this year has unfortunately had to be cancelled due to a lack of entries received by the closing date. Only seven teams had entered with a minimum of 12 required to meet the qualifying criteria to enable the winning team to progress to the regional final stage.
It is disappointing for the PGA, our Holden sponsor (Youngs) and those that had entered however we shall review the event and its place on our fixture calendar. Refunds will be issued this week.

This years event will be held here at the Club on Sunday 21st of September.
All members are welcome to participate at $35 per entry whilst non-members are also welcome to play at $50 per entry to comprise a mixed team (any combination of men and women) of four for this ambrose event. For more info and conditions see www.holdenscramble.com.au
